What Proper Headwear Fit Should Feel Like
Share
Headwear should feel secure without pressure. If you are constantly adjusting, pulling, or removing your headwear for relief, that is a fit issue—not something you should “get used to.”
Properly fitted headwear should:
-
Stay in place during normal movement
-
Feel comfortable across the forehead and crown
-
Not cause tension, headaches, or pressure marks
Fit is not about tightness. Many headwear pieces rely on compression to stay put, which often leads to discomfort. Well-designed headwear stays secure because it is balanced, not because it squeezes.
If your headwear feels the same after an hour as it did when you first put it on, that is a sign of proper fit.
